Delete Account

Request deletion of your FoodSavr account and associated data (reviewed before removal)

This action cannot be undone. Please read the information below carefully.

Using the FoodSavr mobile app

The fastest path is usually Profile or account settings → Delete account. That action does not delete your account immediately: we log your request, send a confirmation email, and review each request before deletion. If approved, we aim to complete deletion within fifteen (15) days after review, subject to technical, backup, and legal constraints. You will receive confirmation when deletion is finished. Details match our Privacy Policy (Section 8).

If you use the web app only or prefer email, send us your account details using the button below. The same review and timeline apply as described in our Privacy Policy.

How Account Deletion Works

1. Send Request

Email us at foodsavrapp@gmail.com with your account details

2. Review and deletion

We review each request; if approved, we aim to complete deletion within fifteen (15) days after review

3. Confirmation

You get a confirmation when the request is logged and again when deletion is complete

Email Address

The email address associated with your foodsavr account

Display name or username (if applicable)

Helps us match your account to your request

Confirmation Statement

A clear statement that you want to delete your account and understand it cannot be undone

What Data Will Be Deleted

Data We Delete

  • Personal account information (name, email)
  • Food inventory and tracking data
  • App preferences and settings
  • In-app content we store for your account (inventory, photos you attached, chat with AI features, preferences)
  • Saved recipes and meal planning data

What may still exist after deletion

  • A minimal row in our profiles_deleted log (for example name, email, request and deletion timestamps, internal notes) to document the request — not your inventory, photos, or chat content
  • Historical or aggregated data held by Firebase Analytics, Firebase Crashlytics (mobile), or PostHog under their retention settings — deletion of your account may not erase every past event immediately; see our Privacy Policy
  • Copies in backups for a limited period where technically or legally required

Note: Third-party analytics and crash tools have their own retention; some aggregated or de-identified data may remain per provider policies.

Important Considerations

Permanent Action

Once deleted, your account and data cannot be recovered. This action is irreversible.

Processing time

Requests are reviewed first. If approved, we aim to complete deletion of your account within fifteen (15) days after review, subject to technical, backup, and legal constraints.
