Also fixed a small rendering bug where markdown links inside bold text—like the Google Play listing link in foodsavr.ca/blog/foodsavr-android-google-play-launch—were showing as raw markdown instead of a real link. All affected posts now have a 2026-04-19 dateModified so search engines pick up the updates. Sitemap at foodsavr.ca/sitemap.xml updated accordingly.

Monthly quotas for AI-powered features (for example receipt and item scans and Sous Chef chat) reset on the first day of each calendar month in UTC, so you get a fresh allowance regularly. Item photo storage uses a separate quota that does not follow that monthly reset. See Profile → Usage & limits for this month for your current numbers. This matches how limits are described in the Privacy Policy and Terms of Service on foodsavr.ca.

You can now attach a picture to each inventory item so your list matches what is really in the fridge or pantry. Visual cues make it faster to spot the right jar, tell similar packages apart, and remember what is inside opaque containers or leftovers without opening them. That lines up with how visual inventory works in professional settings: photos reduce mix ups from name alone, speed up finding and auditing stock, and give everyone in the household the same mental picture of what you have. Handy when you shop from memory or share a kitchen, and a simple anchor when text labels would be too vague.

From March 25, 2026, FoodSavr for Android is available through Google Play open testing. Join the tester Google Group, opt in on Play, and install from the listing—new builds and features roll out on the test track automatically like normal Play updates.
